During the year the population of Atri organize events that attract tourists from all parts of Italy. Events Folklore where you can also find wine and gastronomic delicacies, as well as markets that sell everything.
The old folk events Atriani most significant are:
I Faugni: Procession through the streets with bundles of reeds dawn lit by eight in December, the feast of the Immaculate, with loud alarm for the public and the final bonfire in the Piazza Duomo.
Lu Sant'Andonie: Melodrama about temptations of St. Anthony Abbot, is for the houses on the evening of 17 January.
The Passion of Jesus: representation through the streets of the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday.
Santa Reparata (Patron): Procession through the streets on the first Monday after Easter
The Maggiolata: it is the most popular recreational event which takes place August 15, the expression of folklore by now in decline that is still able to increase our age-old traditions. It 'a parade of floats decorated with flowers, pulled by oxen and drivers with girls in costume hall, songs and sounds of Dubbotte (accordion)
On August 18 Feast of noodles and beans, ham and cheese
Feast of St. Gabriel (patron saint of Abruzzo): each church recalls the exploits of the saint.
